The Director of Centre for IMT-GT Subregional Cooperation (CIMT), Mr. Firdaus Dahlan, was honoured to be invited to the Malaysia-Indonesia Halal Forum and Industry Engagement 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, held on 17 January 2023. The forum discussed some strategic issues in halal cooperation including Halal Ecosystem and Opportunities, Global Halal Supply Chain Hub, and Halal Compliance Requirements. During the forum CIMT also had the chance to engage directly with some of the IMT-GT Halal Stakeholders such as the Halal Development Corporation (HDC) Malaysia, Halal Products Assurance Agency (BPJPH) Indonesia, and National Committee of Islamic Economy and Finance Indonesia and encourage relevant stakeholders to advance further subregional halal cooperation.
