On 28 April 2025, CIMT held a courtesy meeting with the Secretary-General of the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) to explore potential collaboration in advancing sustainable palm oil in the IMT-GT subregion. Key discussions focused on supporting smallholders, navigating the EU Deforestation Regulation, and preparing for the upcoming Dialogue on Sustainable Palm Oil Supply Chain. Both parties expressed a strong commitment to continue engagement and joint efforts in promoting a more inclusive and sustainable palm oil sector, especially within the three countries.
