The 13th IMT-GT Working Group on Human Resources Development was successfully held from 2 – 3 August 2023, at Hermes Palace Hotel in Aceh, Indonesia. Dr. Zaki Zakaria, Deputy Undersecretary of the Policy Division at the Ministry of Human Resources, Malaysia, chaired the meeting, which was also attended by Mr. Muhammad Arif Hidayat, Head of the Cooperation Bureau at the Ministry of Manpower, Indonesia, and Lt. Sorawud Preededilok, Minister Attached to Thailand International Cooperation Agency at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thailand. Additionally, Mr. Firdaus Dahlan, Director of CIMT, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan, IPU, Rector of Universitas Syiah Kuala from UNINET, were actively engaged in the meeting’s discussions.
The meeting marked a significant stride in enhancing subregional cooperation to address the complexities of human resources in a continuously evolving environment. The participants engaged in fruitful deliberations that underscored their shared dedication to realizing the subregional objectives under the Implementation Blueprint 2022-2026.
