On May 31, 2023, Mr. Firdaus Dahlan, Director of the Centre for Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) Subregional Cooperation (CIMT), paid a courtesy visit to University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) in Johor Bahru which was received by Assoc Prof. Dr. Mohd Ariffin Abu Hassan, Director of UTM International, Dr. Ain Naadia binti Mazlan, Acting Associate Director of Global Strategy & Engagement (GSE) , and Professor Ir Ts Dr Zainuddin bin Abd. Mr. Firdaus Dahlan was accompanied by Ms. Melissa Mokhtar, Deputy Director of CIMT, and Heriawan (Project Coordinator & Analyst).

During the cordial visit, Mr. Firdaus Dahlan briefed UTM on the recent progress of IMT-GT cooperation including projects / programmes under University Networks (UNINET). UTM expressed its eagerness to participate in UNINET programmes. CIMT and UTM are considering a combined program of the UNINET Rector Summit and UTM 13th University Presidents Forum to be held this year.
