Kuala Lumpur, 2 June 2022 – Delegates from the Centre for Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) Subregional Cooperation (CIMT) were warmly welcomed by H.E. Mr. B.N. Reddy during a courtesy visit at the High Commissioner of India to Malaysia. Delegates from CIMT were led by the Director of CIMT, Mr. Firdaus Dahlan, followed by the Deputy Director of CIMT, Mr. Mohammad Akhir Abdul Rahman, and Project Coordinator of CIMT, Ms. R.A. Nidha Nadia.
H.E. Mr. B.N. Reddy was pleased with the update conveyed by the Director of CIMT, Mr. Firdaus Dahlan on the acceptance of India as development partner of IMT-GT. Both CIMT and High Commission of India expressed each parties’ expectations to furthering the development partnership, one of which is on the establishment of a technical committee to develop and materialise the plan of action for the cooperation. Future discussions will also be conducted to pencil down the most strategic and prioritised area of cooperation between Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and India under the spirit of mutual benefits.
